About Storm Pro Roofing and Exteriors
Storm Pro Roofing and Exteriors is a family-owned Michigan company built on integrity, quality, and professionalism. We provide dependable roofing solutions designed to withstand Michigan’s unpredictable weather while protecting the homes and businesses entrusted to our care.
Our mission is simple: install and restore roofing systems that are built to last. With experience in roof replacement, roof repair, and storm damage restoration, our team approaches every project with precision, attention to detail, and a commitment to long-term protection.
In addition to roofing, we provide siding, gutters, and gutter guard services, giving homeowners one trusted partner for protecting and maintaining their property.
Meet Your Roofing Experts
John McKay
“Lowell has always been home for me,” said John McKay, a Lowell High School graduate who lives in the community with his family. “I’ve always believed in being involved, whether that’s coaching wrestling or helping people in the community when they need it.”
McKay says that same mindset carries into his work helping homeowners with roofing and exterior projects.
“When you live in the community you serve, you take pride in doing things the right way,” McKay said. “These are the same families you see at school events and around town, so trust matters.”
John holds a bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University and serves as Storm Pro’s operations leader.
Mike Rekeny
Mike Rekeny brings a strong construction, engineering, and business background to Storm Pro Roofing and Exteriors.
Rekeny began working in construction at age 14 before earning a master’s degree in engineering from Kettering University. He spent 15 years working in engineering and later earned an MBA from Western Michigan University before transitioning into the roofing and exterior industry.
“I realized I wanted to build something that allowed me to help homeowners directly while still being present for my family,” Rekeny said. “My engineering background helps us approach projects with a problem-solving mindset, especially when working through insurance-related repairs.”
Together, McKay and Rekeny share a clear goal: provide reliable service while building a company rooted in family values, honest work, and community trust.
